Anirudh Tewari appointed as new Punjab Chief Secretary

The Charanjit Singh Channi-led Punjab government today appointed Anirudh Tewari as the new Chief Secretary of Punjab. He will replace Vini Mahajan. Anirudh Tewari is a 1990-batch IAS officer and is currently holding the position of the Additional Chief Secretary of Development, Food Processing and Horticulture. Vine Mahajan was considered close to Amarinder Singh who resigned as the CM last week. After Charanjit Singh Channi took over as the new CM, an administrative reshuffle is going on, with several key officers being transferred.
