Gold futures ended near 6 week lower rate on Thursday, pressured by the increased risk appetite in the market with the strength in US Treasury Bond yields and positive stock market. Moreover, interest rate hike signalled by US Federal Reserve as soon as November also dulled investment appeal of the non-yielding yellow metal.
Gold futures for December dipped by $29.00 or 1.6% to settle at $1749.80 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold was down 0.9% to $1,751.56 per ounce.
