Copper futures traded higher on Monday as data showed falling stockpiles in exchange warehouses in the world’s top metal consumer China boosted demand for copper. Further, a dip in US dollar index also helping copper prices’ uptrend.

Copper futures for December delivery gained to $0.0030 or 0.07% to $4.2885 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.6 percent at $9,384.50 a ton.
