Gold futures traded higher in early deals of Monday, as the risk aversion in the global market with the nagging concerns about the debt-laden property giant China Evergrande buoyed some safe haven bullion bets. The yellow metal for the most active contract had posted a slight gain for the week, up by 30 cents compared to the previous week settlement.
Gold futures for December got buoyed by 0.3% at $1,757.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold climbed by 0.5% to $1,757.79 per ounce.
