Punjab: CM allocates portfolios to Newly-inducted ministers

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi today allocated portfolios to the new ministers in his expanded Cabinet. 

CM keeping 14 departments with himself which includes, Personnel, Vigilance, General Administration, Justice, Legal & Legislative Affairs, Information & Public Relations, Environment, Mining and Geology, Civil Aviation, Excise, Investment Promotion, Hospitality, Power and Tourism & Cultural Affairs. While deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa was given home affairs, and health to other deputy O P Soni.

However, the portfolio, if any, not allotted to any of the Ministers shall vest with the CM. Several ministers, including Badal, who were a part of the previous Amarinder Singh-led cabinet, have retained their portfolios. The Congress had recently picked Charanjit Singh Channi as the leader of the state's Congress Legislative Party.
