Gold futures ended near seven week low rate on Tuesday, pressured by the strengthens in greenback and the surge in US Treasury bond yields followed by the anticipations over hawkish monetary policy stance by Federal Reserve.
Gold futures for December dipped by $14.50 or 0.80% to settle at $1737.50 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold was down 1% at $1,732.30 per ounce.
