Tech Mahindra’s FY11 net profit dips 6%

Tech Mahindra has announced the results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2011.

The company’s profit after tax declined by 21% to Rs 182.48 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 231.86 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. Its total income has decreased from Rs 1241.80 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 to Rs 1229.40 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.

For the year ended March 31, 2011, the company’s profit after tax dipped 6% to Rs 696.72 crore as compared to Rs 742.85 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010. Total income of the company has increased from Rs 4574.70 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010 to Rs 5080.72 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011.

On consolidated basis, the group’s profit after tax dropped 59% to Rs 92.19 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 227.02 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. Its total income has increased from Rs 1257.24 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 to Rs 1293.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.

For the year ended March 31, 2011, the group’s profit after tax slipped 8% to Rs 644.19 crore as compared to Rs 700.53 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010. Total income of the company has increased from Rs 4700.84 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010 to Rs 5257.68 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011.
