Essar Shipping rises on including two more vessels to operating fleet

Essar Shipping is currently trading at Rs. 26.70, up by 0.05 points or 0.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 26.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 26.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 26.90 and Rs. 26.40 respectively. So far 5,922 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 35.36 on 21-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 16.20 on 19-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 27.95 and Rs. 26.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 547 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 83.71% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.20% and 8.09% respectively.

Essar Shipping (ESL) has added two more vessels -- MV Kishore and Ashok -- to its operating fleet. These latest addition are MiniCape vessels which are 253 metre long, 43 metre wide and a cargo capacity of 105000 dwt.

With the induction of these vessels, the company’s total tonnage stands at two million tonnes. The company will now consolidate its operations to achieve the planned growth in revenues and scale of operations with the help of induction of these two vessels.
