Copper futures ended lower on Monday due to concerns over slowing growth in the world’s top metal consumer China. However, worries about tightening global supplies along with weakness in US dollar have capped further losses in copper prices.
Copper futures for December delivery fell $0.0040 to settle at $4.7255 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.83 percent at $10,196 a ton.
