Physical rubber prices extended previous day’s gains, though the domestic futures showed signs of weakness probably on profit booking at higher level, the local market continued to remain firm.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety improved to Rs 171/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 170/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 167/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 166/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of December delivery dropped to Rs 173.49 compared to its previous close of Rs 174.69, while January delivery closed at Rs 175.68 compared to its previous closing of Rs 176.86 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
