Copper futures ended higher on Monday as falling inventories kept the sentiments bullish. However, some gains were capped by US Fed Chair Powell’ comments that the central bank should begin reducing its asset purchases soon.
Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.03 to settle at $4.5280 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.68 percent at $9,867.50 a ton.
