Copper futures ended lower on Wednesday due to slower economic growth worries in the world’s top metals consumer China. Copper prices weakened further as the market was increasingly concerned about the expectations of global monetary policy tightening.
Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.0965 to settle at $4.3895 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 2.46 percent at $9,548 a ton.
