Tata Motors, Wipro and Infosys to see some action today

Tata Motors has unveiled 21 new commercial vehicles, including trucks and buses, to cater to evolving needs of cargo and people transport across segments. The company has unveiled seven products in the medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) segment and five products in the intermediate and light commercial segment (4-18 tonne GVW) with CNG powertrains. Besides, the company has unveiled four new LCVs (Light Commercial Vehicles) to improve last-mile delivery efficiency and reduce operational cost.

Wipro in partnership with Oracle has launched Wipro Tollway Transportation and Billing solution to enhance commuters' experience while improving profitability for tollway authorities. Tollway authorities face many challenges posed by evolving market dynamics, from the transition to cashless operations and anticipated shifts in traffic patterns to operational inefficiencies and changing customer expectations. Using this cloud-based solution, tollway authorities can improve customer experience across touchpoints by leveraging data-driven insights, and maintaining a 360-degree view.

Infosys and energy company bp are planning to develop and pilot an energy as a service (EaaS) solution, aimed at helping businesses improve the energy efficiency of infrastructure and help meet their decarbonisation goals. Infosys and bp intend to co-develop a digital platform that can collect data from multiple energy assets and use artificial intelligence to optimise the energy supply and demand for power, heat, cooling and EV charging. The companies will pilot the digital platform at the Infosys Pune Development Centre in an environment that replicates a small city, where energy is generated, stored, and consumed at multiple points.

Tata Consumer Products is planning to transfer its tea cafe business 'Tata Cha' to group firm IHCL, which operates Taj group of hotels. Tata Cha would be of Qmin brand of IHCL. Tata Cha currently has 12 stores across Bangalore serving beverages tea, coffee, coolers along with snacks and merchandise.

The Railways has asked its online ticketing arm IRCTC to share 50 per cent of its revenue earned as convenience fee from bookings on its website with the national transporter, an arrangement that had been discontinued since the pandemic. IRCTC informed SEBI that the Railways has said the revenue-sharing arrangement would be enforced from November 1. Convenience fees charged from customers generated a sizable revenue for both IRCTC and the Railways. The fee is not part of the rail fare. It is for the service of online ticket booking offered by the IRCTC.

With rising petrol and diesel prices driving up demand for its CNG vehicles, Maruti Suzuki India is planning to widen its CNG portfolio by offering the fuel option in four more models 'very shortly. Currently the company has eight models, which have CNG options out of our total of 14 models.

SpiceJet has decreased its domestic services by 31 per cent to 2,995 weekly flights in the upcoming winter schedule as compared to 4,316 weekly flights that it got approved for the winter schedule of 2019.
