Tata Steel BSL exports 9,000 tonnes of LD slag to Bangladesh

Tata Steel BSL has exported 9,000 tonnes of LD (Linz-Donawitz) slag, a by-product of manufacturing the metal, to Bangladesh, in the first such shipment from India to the neighbouring country. It shipped out the product through Dhamra Port to the Bangladesh market from its unit in Odisha's Dhenkanal district. LD (Linz-Donawitz) slag is produced during the steel-making process.

Tata Steel BSL formerly known as Bhushan Steel is the largest manufacturer of auto-grade steel in India. Tata Steel BSL with a large amount of debt in proportion to its equity is a highly leveraged company.
