Physical rubber prices turned weak on Tuesday mainly on buyer resistance, reacting closely to the weakness in the domestic and international futures.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed weak at Rs 173.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 175/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 169/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 170/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of December delivery declined to Rs 174.99 compared to its previous close of Rs 176.56, while January delivery closed at Rs 177 compared to its previous closing of Rs 178.82 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
