Gold futures finished near five month high rate on Wednesday, as the persisting opaqueness in the global economic health kindled hedge appeal of the bullion. The yellow metal rates were also buoyed by the soaring inflationary rates. Besides, a softer dollar and retreating US bond yields also added the upside. The precious metal had dipped in the last two sessions.
Gold futures for December climbed by 0.9% or $16.10 to settle at $1870.20 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose 0.9% to $1,865.66 per ounce.
