State Bank of India trades in green on the BSE

State Bank of India is currently trading at Rs 2,133.85, up by 21.65 points or 1.02 % from its previous closing of Rs 2,112.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 2,125.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 2,139.00 and Rs 2,121.00 respectively. So far 101000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 2,474.80 on 21 Feb 12 and a 52 week low of Rs 1,576.00 on 20 Dec 11.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 2,139.00 and Rs 2,070.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1, 42,986 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.58% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.36% and 12.06% respectively

State Bank of India (SBI), country’s largest public sector lender is introducing a dedicated Locker Shoppe-cum-Gold Loans branch in Visakhapatnam having round-the-clock operations. It has also decided to open around 100 more branches in Andhra Pradesh by the end of financial year and seven among them will be opened in Visakhapatnam.

The bank has reported 30.16% rise in its net profit at Rs 3658.14 crore for second ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 2810.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 12.11% at Rs 32953.47 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 29394.32 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
