Physical Rubber prices witnessed improvement on Friday due to fresh buying amid acute shortage of the raw material. Meanwhile, the latest report from the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries said the demand for natural rubber from India, European Union, the United States, and Japan is expected to get a boost in the short-term in view of the pent-up momentum resulting from the further lifting of corona virus related restrictions, revival of transportation and other economic activities. On the global front, the production of natural rubber is expected to register a CAGR of 4. 3% during the forecast period 2021 to 2026.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety gained to Rs 184/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 183/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety firmed to Rs 182/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 181/ kg.
