Mahanagar Telephone Nigam is currently trading at Rs. 19.60, up by 0.75 points or 3.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 18.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 20.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 20.40 and Rs. 19.55 respectively. So far 1197796 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 24.40 on 15-Mar-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 9.34 on 20-Nov-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 20.55 and Rs. 17.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1241.10 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.89%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.45% and 28.66% respectively.

The government has listed Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) assets located in Vasari Hill, Goregaon in Mumbai for sale at a reserve price of around Rs 310 crore. MTNL’s 20 flats located in Oshiwara have also been put up for sale as part of the asset monetisation plan of the company. The flats include two units of 1-room set, 17 units of 1 bedroom hall and kitchen (BHK) and one unit of 2 BHK. Their reserve prices range from Rs 52.26 lakh to Rs 1.59 crore. The e-auction for MTNL assets will take place on December 14, 2021.

MTNL was set up by the Government of India to upgrade the quality of telecom services, expand the telecom network, and introduce new services and to raise revenue for telecom development needs of India's key metros -- Delhi and Mumbai.
