Physical Rubber prices witness improvement on Friday

Physical Rubber prices witnessed improvement on Friday as acute shortage of the raw material against fresh enquiries in the domestic market supported sentiments. Meanwhile, the tyre industry body Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA) asked the government to allow free imports of natural rubber due to low availability of natural rubber which has disrupted production.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety gained to Rs 191/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 188/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety firmed to Rs 189/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 186/ kg.
