UltraTech Cement rises on commencing mining of coal from Bicharpur Coal mines

Ultratech Cement is currently trading at Rs. 7461.00, up by 26.60 points or 0.36% from its previous closing of Rs. 7434.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 7489.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 7668.60 and Rs. 7357.70 respectively. So far 5788 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 8267.00 on 08-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4802.75 on 01-Dec-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 7758.55 and Rs. 7203.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 214275.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.04% and 8.48% respectively.

UltraTech Cement has commenced mining of coal from its Bicharpur Coal mines situated in Madhya Pradesh. This mine was procured in the coal block auctions in the year 2015. The mines have extractable reserves of around 29MMT. The coal extracted from the mines will be used for the company's internal consumption and will to some extent reduce its dependence on coal purchases.

UltraTech Cement is the largest manufacturer of grey cement, Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) and white cement in India.
