Copper futures traded higher on Monday, on account of surging concerns over the fuel supply after MMG Ltd's (1208.HK) decided to stop the production at Peru's Las Bambas, one of largest copper mine by mid-December because of a road blockade. However, a rising dollar which makes dollar-priced metals more expensive for holders of other currencies 'limited some gains'.
Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0385 or 0.90% at $ 4.3050 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
