Physical Rubber prices witness weakness on Saturday

Physical Rubber prices witnessed weakness on Saturday due to sluggish demand from automotive industry against expectations for a subsequent improvement in production and arrivals. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety fell to 179/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 181/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety declined to 176/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 178/ kg.

In the futures market, January delivery fell to Rs 188.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 188.65 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
