Copper futures end lower on Monday

14 Dec 2021 Evaluate
Copper futures ended lower on Monday saddled by a firmer dollar which made the greenback-denominated red metal more expensive for third currency holders and on risk aversion amidst looming woes over omicron infection. Moreover, reports on rising LME inventory levels also dulled investors sentiments.

Copper futures for March delivery fell 0.1 percent to settle at $4.2840 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.62 percent at $9,447.50 a ton.
