Usha Martin spurts on its arm forming 50:50 JV with TESAC Wire Ropes in Thailand

Usha Martin is currently trading at Rs 34.40, up by 2.30 points or 7.17% from its previous closing of Rs 32.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 32.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs 34.70 and Rs 31.55 respectively. So far 144958 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 43.25 on 22-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 21.80 on 12-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 32.75 and Rs 29.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 990.41 crore.

Usha Martin’s subsidiary - Usha Siam Steel Industries has formed a 50:50 joint venture (JV) in Thailand with TESAC Wire Ropes, a leading Japanese wire rope Company, under the name and style TESAC Usha Wire Rope Company’ for manufacture of high performance steel wire ropes.

Usha Martin is a major manufacturer of wire rods, bright bars, steel wires, speciality wires, wire ropes, strand, conveyor cord, wire drawing and cable machinery.
