Steel Authority of India’s (SAIL) unit -- Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Software Technology Park of India (STPI) for a centre of entrepreneurship (CoE) on emerging technologies.
The agreement aims to forge a strong and meaningful alliance between the STPI and the RSP to support the upcoming CoE on emerging technologies, known as EmTek. The MoU envisages strong cooperation in mentoring, access to infrastructure and facilities, networking and funding.
SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
