Gold futures settled higher on Wednesday, though eked above $1800 key benchmark with the weakness in dollar. The yellow metal got pressured as the firmness in US Treasury Bond Yield notes to a one month peak rate lifted the opportunity cost of holding non-interest paying gold.
Gold futures for February climbed by $5.1 or 0.3% to finish at $ 1805.80 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold slightly was flat at $1,804.56 per ounce.
