Gold futures finished lower on Monday, saddled by the increased risk appetite in the market as the Omicron fear fades. Moreover, firm trend in US bond yield notes and the affirmative non-farm payroll report projection took off bullion’s investment appeal. The yellow metal for the most active contract marked two week lowest settlement in the session.
Gold futures for February fell by 1.6% or $28.50 to $1800.10 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold trade lower by 1.5% to $1,800.68 per ounce.
