Dr Reddy's, Thermax and Kalpataru Power Transmission to see some action today

Dr Reddy's Laboratories is planning to launch Molflu (Molnupiravir) at Rs 35 per capsule to treat COVID-19 in the country. With 10 capsules per strip, the total course of 40 capsules over 5 days would cost Rs 1,400, making it among the most affordable treatment options available to patients. Molflu will be manufactured at a USFDA-approved facility, and the drug maker has made adequate capacity preparations to ensure that it is able to help patients in need.

Thermax has concluded an order of Rs 545.6 crore from an Indian power public sector company to set up flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) systems for their two units of 500 MW capacity each in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The FGD systems will be installed at their plant to cut down SOx emissions and comply with the air quality standards set for the power plants.

Kalpataru Power Transmission has received approval to raise Rs 200 crore through allotment of 2000 Listed Rated Unsecured Redeemable Taxable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) having face value of Rs 10,00,000 on private placement basis. The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on January 04, 2021 has approved the same.

GAIL (India) has completed the acquisition of bankrupt Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services' (IL&FS) 26 per cent stake in ONGC Tripura Power Company (OTPC). OTPC is a special purpose vehicle set up by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to build a 726.6 megawatt combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) thermal power plant at Palatana, Tripura. The IL&FS group and the Government of Tripura (GoT) were partners in the special purpose vehicle (SPV).

Karur Vysya Bank’s deposits grew 7.70% to Rs 66,871 crore as of December 31, 2021 (Q3FY22), as compared to Rs 62,089 crore on a yearly basis. Advance stood at Rs 55,793 crore as of December 31, 2021, posting a 7.06% rise in year-on-year (YoY) terms against Rs 52,113 crore as of December 31, 2020. The CASA was up 12.22% to Rs 24,128 crore against Rs 21,500 crore YoY.

Ircon International has emerged as the lowest bidder for upgradation and Four Laning of Haridwar Bypass Package-1 from Km.0+000 (Km. 188+100 of NH-58) to Km. 15+100 (Km. 5+100 of NH 74) in the State of Uttarakhand on Hybrid Annuity Mode. The project was floated by National Highways Authority of India on competitive bidding and value of the project is approximately Rs 861 crore (Bid Project Cost). The completion period of the project is 2.0 years.

Bank of Maharashtra has registered over 23 percent growth in gross advances to Rs 1,29,052 crore at the end of December 2021. The bank's gross advances stood at Rs 1,04,904 crore at the end of December 31, 2020. Deposits grew by 15.21 percent to Rs 1,86,614 crore in the period under review as against Rs 1,61,971 crore in the year-ago period.
