Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, has introduced a green data centre in Mumbai. This data centre has been jointly designed and commissioned with India’s NetMagic Solutions and is carrier neutral.

The data centre has been designed to achieve 1.7-1.75 power usage effectiveness or PUE, a metric used to determine the energy efficiency of a data centre, making it one of the most energy efficient facilities in India.

Through this initiative, the company will be able to offer co-location, managed hosting, disaster recovery, remote infrastructure management, application and cloud computing services to small, medium and large enterprises across verticals in Mumbai.
