Physical Rubber prices witnessed weakness on Saturday due to buyer resistance in spite of unexpected drop in arrivals in the market. Besides, worries of accelerated spread of Omicron corona-virus variant also weighed down rubber prices.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety fell to Rs 161/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 162/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety declined to Rs 157/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 158/ kg.
