UltraTech Cement jumps on commissioning Line II of Bara Grinding Unit in Uttar Pradesh

Ultratech Cement is currently trading at Rs. 7632.00, up by 28.55 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 7603.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 7679.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 7727.40 and Rs. 7622.90 respectively. So far 5341 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 8267.00 on 08-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 5261.80 on 01-Feb-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 7727.40 and Rs. 7428.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 220354.36 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.94% and 8.57% respectively.

UltraTech Cement has commissioned Line II of the Bara Grinding Unit in Uttar Pradesh, India, having cement capacity of 2 mtpa. Line I was earlier commissioned in January, 2020 and is already operating at a capacity utilisation in excess of 80%. This additional capacity will help the company to service the fast-growing cement demand in the Central region in the country.

Together with this expansion, during the financial year 2021-22, the company has commissioned 3.2 mtpa new cement capacity, as planned, taking its total cement manufacturing capacity in India to 114.55 mtpa.

UltraTech Cement is the largest manufacturer of grey cement, Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) and white cement in India.
