Gold futures finished lower on Tuesday, saddled by the rise in dollar against its peers which made it cheaper for other currency holders. Besides, advancing US Treasury bond yields and decision of Federal Reserve to tighten the pandemic-driven monetary stimulus also dulled investment appeal of the bullion.
Gold futures for February fell by 0.2% or $4.10, to settle at $1812.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold dipped by 0.3%, to $1,813.08 per ounce.
