Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm -- Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has toppled BSNL as largest fixed line broadband provider. According to a monthly telecom subscribers report released by the telecom regulator Trai, Jio now leads the fixed-line broadband segment with 4.34 million customers. Reliance Jio fixed-line broadband customer base increased to 4.34 million in November from 4.16 million in October.
Reliance Industries is India’s largest private sector company. The company’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and 4G digital services.
