Gold futures finished slightly down on Thursday. The yellow metal got saddled with the bets over quicker interest rate hike by US Federal Reserve, as it is to meet next week. Albeit, growing apprehension between Russia and Ukraine, and the inflation hedge appeal limited losses in the bullion rates.
Gold futures for February down by 0.01% or $0.60, to settle at $ 1842.60 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold up by 0.1%, to $1,841.45 per ounce.
