02 Feb 2022 Evaluate
Gold futures finished higher on Tuesday as the looming geopolitical tensions buoyed safe haven appeal of the bullion. Besides, yellow metal also got support after greenback weakened against its peers followed by dovish comments from US Federal Reserve in the wake of weak US data. As per reports, holdings of the world's largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, SPDR Gold Trust , rose to the highest levels since mid-August.

Gold futures for April higher by 0.3% to settle at $1,801.50ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold rose by 0.2% to $1,800.36per ounce.
