Physical Rubber prices witnessed weakness on Thursday as major consuming industries stayed back possibly to avoid a sharp rise in prices. Even though, increased budgetary allocation to Rubber Board has cheered up the sector, and thereby will increase demand for the commodity.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety fell to Rs 166/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 167/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety declined to Rs 164/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 165/ kg.
