Gold futures finished higher on Friday, supported by the safe haven appeal of the bullion amid accelerating geo-political tensions in Ukraine, surging inflation and looming rampant spread of covid cases. Even though, firmer dollar and US bonds followed by a robust US jobs data limited some gains in the precious metal. The yellow metal for the most active contract registered 0.8% gain for the week.
Gold futures for December climbed by 0.2% to settle at $1,807.80 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by 0.1% to $1,805.95per ounce.
