Essar Steel supplies 9,000 tonnes of steel for oil, gas storage tank

Essar Steel has made shipment of 9,000 tonnes of high quality steel plates to Dry Docks World Dubai for setting up a sub-sea oil and gas storage tank. The Dubai-based company is executing this project in the North Sea for Premier Oil. The steel plates will be utilized for the construction of reservoirs in the sea bed at a depth of 130 metres at low temperatures.

The company is among the few companies that can produce high quality steel plates designed to withstand harsh conditions and are maintenance-free with a life of over 50 years.
