Capri Global Capital surges on planning to enter gold loan business

Capri Global Capital is currently trading at Rs. 596.85, up by 5.55 points or 0.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 591.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 590.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 600.00 and Rs. 590.00 respectively. So far 1099 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 629.95 on 02-Feb-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 335.00 on 24-Feb-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 600.00 and Rs. 575.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10383.12 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.74 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.83 % and 20.43 % respectively.

Capri Global Capital is planning to enter the gold loan business. The company will launch the gold loan business in the first half of the financial year 2022-23. The company aims to build a gold loan book size of Rs 8,000 crore and expand its network with 1500 branch locations over the next five years.

Capri Global Capital is engaged in the business of providing loans to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), providing long term finance for construction of residential houses in India, retail Lending in India and in providing ancillary services related to the said business activities.
