Rahul Gandhi to hold public campaign in Manipur for Assembly elections

Ahead of Manipur assembly elections, Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will address public rallies in Manipur from March 1. Earlier, he addressed a public meeting at the Hapta Kangjeibung area in Imphal.

On February 5, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who is also the party's election observer in Manipur, announced a six-party alliance called the ‘Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance (MPSA) and he declared the alliance's six political parties. ‘The Congress, Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist), Forward Bloc, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), and Janata Dal (Secular) inaugurated the Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance (MPSA) today with an 18-point Common Agenda,’ he had stated. The Assembly elections in Manipur will be held on February 28 and March 5.
