Aurobindo Pharma’s unit -- Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc is recalling 1,15,776 bottles of Moxifloxacin Ophthalmic Solution, an antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infections. According to the USFDA, Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc is recalling the affected lot due to ‘failed impurities/degradation specifications’. The company initiated the nationwide Class II recall on January 14 this year.
Aurobindo Pharma is engaged in manufacturing pharmaceutical products. It offers active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and generic formulations like astemizole, domeperidone and omeprazole; anti-infective, oral and sterile antibiotics, pain management and osteoporosis segments.
