Mahindra & Mahindra, Coal India and Tata Motors to see some action today

Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) total sales increased by 89 per cent to 54,455 units in February 2022. The company's total sales stood at 28,777 units in February 2021. The company’s passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market rose by 80 per cent to 27,663 units last month as against 15,391 units in February last year. Commercial vehicle sales increased to 23,978 units last month as compared with 11,559 units in February 2021.

Coal India (CIL) has produced 64.3 million tonnes of coal in February 2022, registering a growth of nearly 4 per cent compared to the year-ago period. Coal India Ltd (CIL) had produced 61.9 MT of coal in the corresponding month of previous fiscal. On a month-on-month basis, CIL's average production increased to 2.3 MT per day in February. So, despite being three days lesser than January, the sequential production in February was at par with the previous month. CIL's all out efforts are focused on ending FY'22 in the realm of 630 MT.

Tata Motors’ total domestic sales increased by 27 per cent year-on-year to 73,875 units in February 2022. The company had dispatched 58,366 units in February 2021. The company’s passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market last month rose by 47 per cent to 39,981 units compared to 27,225 units in the same month last year. Commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market increased 9 per cent to 33,894 units from 31,141 units in the year-ago period.

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a license agreement for 41 room Hotel at Mukteshwar, Uttarakhand under the brand ‘Lemon Tree Hotel’. The hotel is expected to be operational in July 2022. The property is owned by The Alpine Chalet Resort, and shall be managed by Carnation Hotels, a subsidiary and management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels. Located in the Nainital district, this property will feature 41 well-appointed rooms and suites, complemented by a multi-cuisine restaurant and a bar. It will also have a conference room, and a swimming pool, spa and a fitness centre for recreation.

Piramal Enterprises’ administrative committee of its board of directors has approved raising up to Rs 500 crore through issue of non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis. The committee at its meeting approved issue of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of up to Rs 100 crore along with an option to retain over subscription of up to Rs 400 crore, aggregating up to Rs 500 crore. The debentures are proposed to be listed on debt segment and capital market segment of National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE.
