Physical Rubber prices extended strength on Thursday due to increased demand despite rumors that there will not be any payment against fresh purchases and lifting of stocks till the end of the current financial year.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 175/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 174.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained to Rs 173/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 172/ kg.
