Congress revamps Haryana unit: Appoints Hooda loyalist Udai Bhan as president

The Congress today revamped its Haryana unit, appointing a loyalist of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda and four-time former legislator, Udai Bhan as president of Haryana Congress, replacing Kumari Selja.

Congress said party president Sonia Gandhi has accepted the resignation of Kumari Selja from the post of president, with immediate effect and also appointed the president and the working presidents of Haryana Congress with immediate effect. As part of the reorganization of the state unit, the Congress appointed Shruti Choudhary, Ram Kishan Gujjar, Jitender Kumar Bhardwaj and Suresh Gupta as working presidents. An elaborate state unit reconstruct is also under process and is expected to be announced soon.
