Indian rupee weakened against the US dollar on Thursday, driven by unabated foreign fund outflows in the market. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the capital market on Wednesday, as they offloaded shares worth Rs 4,064.54 crore, exchange data showed. Further, strength in the American currency at overseas markets following concerns around aggressive policy tightening by the US central bank and geopolitical uncertainties in Ukraine also added pressure on market sentiments.

The partially convertible currency is currently trading at 76.65, weaker by 8 paise from its previous close of 76.57 on Wednesday. The currency touched a high and low of 76.7175 and 76.5800 respectively.
