Assam government has inked Petroleum Mining Lease deed with Hindustan Oil Exploration company (HOEC), Oil India and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) (Assam oil division). Assam Government would provide all possible support to HOEC, OIL, and IOC in its quest of hydrocarbon. It will enhance revenue of the exchequer and will bring prosperity to the state.

Oil India, a Navratna Company, is Asia's oldest and biggest pioneer oil exploration and Production Company.
