Bharti Airtel gains on planning to set up new technology center in Pune

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 692.30, up by 2.90 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 689.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 683.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 697.75 and Rs. 679.85 respectively. So far 35420 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 781.90 on 24-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 508.91 on 18-Jun-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 735.10 and Rs. 679.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 406753.27 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.93%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.86% and 5.21% respectively.

Bharti Airtel is planning to set up a new technology center in Pune to support digital services in the Western region and will be hiring around 500 digital engineering professionals by the end of the current fiscal.

This will be Airtel's fourth digital technology hub in India and first in the Western region to support its strategy to pivot to a digital services company, especially as 5G services are on the horizon. Airtel is looking to hire across multiple experience and domains - Big Data, Machine Learning, Dev Ops, Tech Ops, etc.
