Idea Cellular rises on hiking 2G Internet tariff

Idea Cellular is currently trading at Rs. 103.85, up by 0.15 points or 0.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 103.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 104.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 104.95 and Rs. 103.60 respectively. So far 42719 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 106.30 on 28-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 71.20 on 24-Apr-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 106.30 and Rs. 99.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 34427.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.93% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.06% and 32.01% respectively.

Private telecom operator companies - Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone has hiked 2G data tariff in the form of cutting down bundled usage on popular data packs. The private operators have taken this step with a view to promote 3G data services since 3G service is getting lukewarm response from the consumers.
