Physical rubber prices ruled steady on Monday. The sentiments were neutral during the first trading day of the New Year since the leading international trend setters were on long holiday.

Spot prices for RSS- 4 and RSS- variety remained unchanged at Rs. 162.50/ kg and Rs. 157/ kg, respectively.

In the futures market, contract of January delivery slipped to Rs. 164.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs. 164.81, while February delivery closed at Rs. 167 compared to its previous close of Rs. 167.18 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
